we all know the basic facts bout 2012: the mayan calendar will end. so will the world. 12/21/2012.
4 days before xmas. goddamnit! wait a minute...what has the ending of an ancient calendar to do with the end of the world? excellent question. a few 'answers'. in 2012 the socalled 'long count' will end. i must admit - in mayan definition this particular date is kinda special. in december 2012 after the bak'tun 13 a new long count begins - the calendar gets kinda 'resetted'. thats structural cause after this date the days otherwise would double. its even mentioned on walls and steles.
its just some kinda 'super new years eve' . no mayan inscripture however speaks bout cataclysms. thats an invention of conspiracy theorists n esoteric rip off.
n theres no such thing as an outstanding cosmic conjunction. there is just one conjunction that occurs every year.
so dont panic, just wrap your gifts and roll on the floor laughing bout those idiots buyin books like 'survive 2012'.
